I am so proud of myself everyday, for taking this risk, for trying something new, even with the fear of failing. 

Thanks for making me feel encouraged and loved! That's really all I need to keep going!!

Feeling oh so happy today! 

This week marked my very first commission payment from Nerium. I am so proud of myself~ for sticking with it, for blogging, for offering samples, and for getting my first customers. I am dreaming, dreaming, dreaming now!

As one friend said, "Now it's just time to get your Lexus bonus!" But I'm afraid I'll get my Lexus at the same time as I get my country dirt road! Oh well, some problems are worth having, right?!

I'm busy doing things MY way- and it's working! I plan to continue blogging, talking it up, and getting others to experience Nerium! Come join me!

Life is so funny sometimes. I'm the teacher to 16 wonderful 3rd graders. But sometimes, I feel like I'm the one doing the learning! This group of young people is teaching me every day how to love my job! 

Bob Marley helps too. 

This is my laptop's desktop:

The first time that I plugged my laptop into the projector, my students saw this displayed on the large projection screen. Immediately, one of my boys started singing, saying "I know this song!" I asked him how he knew it, and he responded, "My dad loves Bob Marley. We listen to him all the time!" And I knew right then, that THIS was going to be an awesome year! Having a parent take time to teach their son who Marley is, is a definite good sign.

Sometimes we feel so much pressure to meet certain standards, and to have such high expectations. And as I of course agree with all that, in the day to day bustle, there are so many blessings that get overlooked. This year's class has allowed me to step back and just watch- observe them interacting, talking, and working together. They're so kind and passionate towards one another.     In the grand scheme of things, all I'm really trying to teach them is how to be the best person they can be. I want them to learn to read, and read to learn, and be excited about finding solutions to problems and work hard as a team to accomplish a task. But even more than that, I want them to stand up for others, help those who need help, stay true to their promises, and love and respect one another. And in order to teach that, I have to let somethings go, and remember...
not to worry about thing. 

I just pray that every day I can use this as my life's motto, when I'm at work, at home, in the car (good grief, can I use some reminders while driving!!), and even when I'm out shopping at the grocery store. Maybe I can pass along my little secret too, so others can share in this joy. =)

Oh, and PS- The King and I have been talking about getting tattoos. The King's of course is related to deer, but I'm thinking I might need to remind myself with these 3 little birds what my motto is...what do you think??

I love the analogy of comparing Nerium to other "once new" companies- would you haven't wanted the opportunity to be there at the start of Apple?!

A Change is Comin'!

I'm always sad to see summer come to a close, but am always grateful for the cooler temps! 

Funny how all of a sudden, things are "back to normal." School is in full swing now, and my kiddos have gotten into their school routine with earlier bed times and earlier mornings. 

All at once my Saturday mornings are filled with soccer games, coffee, and bowling again! Everything seems to start the same week, doesn't it?! 

We had warm temps last week <still reaching close to 100 degrees!> but this morning there was a coolness in the air that I loved! I'm ready to wear boots, sweaters, and scarves. I'm ready to see the leaves lose their green and turn to gold, orange, and red. Fire pits at night. Chili for supper.

This is one of my favorite things about living in Kansas~ I truly enjoy each of the 4 seasons so much. They are so special in their own sweet way! And just when you think it's going to last forever, one season leaves, and the next one comes around. 

So get out there and just enjoy this beautiful day that God has made today! Whether it's warm or chilly, sunny or cloudy, be grateful to be here to see it. And don't worry about a thing today- we'll cross that bridge when we get there.
